Review by Markus Atzmueller
Clear sound, nice singing and harp playing. One of my personal Bob favorites came next: You Ain't Goin' Nowhere with the master on guitar. Although I heard better versions on different boots, I really enjoyed it. Normally I'm not a fan of Things Have Changed, which they've done next. But yesterdays version was okay, particulary because of Denny's und Stu's nice guitar playing. Just Like A Woman was a real jewel last night. Nice audience singing with a lot of applause after each verse. I thought Bob real enjoyed the audience singing, too. Rollin' and Hattie Carroll came next and where both well done. Bob's organ playing isn't as dominant as over the past three years - and this becomes most of the songs in my point of view very good. My next real highlight was Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum with Bob center stage only on harp. I always liked the song, but this was the best version I've heard so far. Thank you Bob. Next came Sugar Baby. I'm a little bit bored of it, because I've heard it on my last two concerts (Stuttgart 2007 & Salzburg 2008), too. Although I think Highway 61 is overdone, most of the audience wasn't my opinion. It was the usual crowd pleaser and got a lot of applause. With the next two songs, Ballad Of Hollis Brown and Workingman Blues # 2, Bob fulfilled my wishes. Very nice versions. Hollis was beside One More Cup Of Coffee my personal favorite of the night and a rather better song than the overdone Summer Days, which he often plays at this point of the show. With Thunder On The Mountain (great version) the finish started. Business as usual without surprises but without weak points, too.

Review by Martin
Every song was played really really good with Bob hitting it on nearly every single line and the band playing just wonderful (especially George Recile on drums, and Denny Freeman, who played some very cool solos). Also Bob's voice (which sounded quite "hard" during the first songs) got better and better as the show continued. Bob also seemed to had a good time laughing and joking several times during and between songs. My personal highlights were a powerful This Wheel's On Fire, Just Like A Woman (with the audience singing along on various parts), Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum (really nice drums on that one if I remember correctly), an accoustic John Brown (also a first-timer for me), as well as an unbelievable powerful and angry Masters of War (you should have heard this!), but as I said: they were all great that night. Come again, Bob! Come again soon!!

Review by Heidi Fischer
One tremendous highlight of the show was the often played soft and tender love song Love Minus Zero/No Limit' . But what we heard was not the young Romeo ensnaring his Juliet with words, no, it was a burlesque parody of this often played scene: An old man, captured by the memories of the love of his live, stammers once more his confessions of love, nearly breathless, the head drunken from the idealistic picture of his fade away love and life and more he dreams, we are not quite sure, if she really was that goddess or a bitch and only the absurdity of his memory keeps him still alive, looking out the window in a dark rainy night, seeing the raven with the broken wing.

REVIEW

Review by James Strohecker
Bob next dropped in a surprising, Subterranean Homesick Blues, which was much tighter and relaxed than the version in Hamburg last week. They rocked this out into a crowd-pleaser and had some fun doing it. They soon had the crowd leaning forward and listening intently as Bob and the boys slid into an awesome, In The Garden, that seemed almost poignant for the venue’s history (back in the ’72 Olympics), as it was slow, deliberate, melodious and with such rich, brim-full words that Bob crafted around the tight guitar picking. Most excellent and definitely the song of the night.

Review by Herbert Adam
There were many highlights. I just mention a few ones: Masters Of War was dull and dark and roaring. In Tangled Up In Blue Bob was jamming with the band and played a long solo. Not Dark Yet was the highlight of the whole show. He really performed it perfectly and the voice was at the point. Maggie's Farm was a smooth rock'n'roll song and HWY61 was a real smasher. I never really liked Blowing In The Wind, but even this one was very beautiful.
