Review by Marshall Walker
20 minutes later, Bob Dylan and his pathetic ensemble took the stage. It was the most awful performance I've EVER seen or heard. These yocals must dress in cowboy suits so no one will beat the crap out of them when recognized on the street! Bob was just horrid. Totally unprofessional, sloppy, his band couldn't play worth beans and I understood one word in the first 25 minutes, well, maybe two, depending on whether you consider "New York" one word or two. I am afraid any young MBA will see this as bolstering his/her position that someone with 45+ years experience can NOT get the job done. I may have to have AARP sue him, on our behalf! PS I have been following your site up to this date, just relishing the chance to see Bob. I was very disappointed.

Review by Mark Rhodes
Then into You Ain't Goin Nowhere. Oh oh, what chords are those I'm hearing? Couldn't be could it? Yeap...Things Have Changed and I am all dancing, grooving smiles. Thanks Bob! It's rockin' and groovin' and I hear a familiar chord, right into Brown Sugar. Again the version here is more bluesy and jamming than the 1st set. (Bob has played piano the first 5 tunes), but he's into blues lead now on Sugar. Picks up the acoustic and does My Back Pages and picks up harp for Drifters Escape. Back to piano for High Water (For Charley Patton) and back to acoustic for Tear of Rage and another Old Man (I hear this one...very nice, wish I could contrast it with the first show for you). Back to piano for Honest With Me and Floater (Too Much To Ask). Finally closes the set with another Summer Days that was even more rocking and stretched than the first set's. Band takes its bows and gone...but back for nice acoustic Blowin' In The Wind and rip the roof off All Along The Watchtower. Pretty fine, like aged wine and a nice bookend to the recent Elvis Costello and YMSB shows. 4 to 4-1/2 hours of Mr. D...it just doesn't get any better for this Hoosier. Definitely the most rocking Dylan show I have seen. Jim, did I ever stop dancing

Review by Mark Rhodes
Making the long drive from Detroit to Indianapolis (and back) for Dylan's show at the Egyptian Room was well worth it. Dylan was very lively during the first show, smiling and entertaining the crowd with a lot of good body language. At one point Dylan even ask whether anyone in the crowd had something (listening to it again, I can't make out what actually he's looking for), telling them to come up and see him after the show. The whole show was incredible. The chance to see him and his band up close was great--you could even see the Oscar award sitting on stage. Highlights from the show included Tombstone Blues, Highway 61 Revisited, Old Man, and . . . Actually, the whole show was a highlight--it has to rate as one of the best of the eight shows I've seen over the years.??.

Review by Jery L. Still Stelter
Then Cold Irons Bound. Very good vocals, more moving. A real crowd pleaser. Then, all of a sudden, Positively 4th Street. I was surprised and delighted by this. At my tender age of 28, this is one of the first Dylan songs I fell in love with while digging through my dad's albums as a teenager. I turned to my dad and said, "It don't get any better than this". He agreed. Next, watching the river flow. I've always enjoyed this song and was glad to see it. Can't wait. Great performance. Deep knee bends, sliding, etc... Now the acoustic set. Right away he gets out the harmonica and we all go wild. Tomorrow is a long time. This is the song that Elvis sang in one of his movies, don't know which one. Anyway, Market Square Arena is the last place that Elvis played. Made me wonder if he did this intentionally. I thought it was fitting. Desolation Row!!!! Another surprise. This was worth the 4 hour drive and ticket price alone. Enough said. Tangled up in Blue. Dylan really rocks here. You can't help but lose control. She belongs to me. I love this one and was thrilled to see it performed. Highway 61 Revisited. The crowd goes wild. Dylan is on fire. Then the bow. Outrageous cheering. Here he comes back-- once again, outrageous cheering. Love Sick. Very good performance. Better than the grammy's. Rainy Day Women #12 & 35. The crowd goes ape shit. There isn't one person sitting on this one. People are dancing with each other, by themselves, clapping, singing. Then Bob drops his guitar and picks up his harmonica again and holds in his hands and starts working it. He is dancing and swaying all over the stage with this, mesmerizing an expectant crowd. After a few licks, we realize it's Blowin In the Wind. Another one with avid audience participation. Once again, Bob bows and exits. The crowd cheers wildly, beggin for a little more. Bob comes back for one more. Like a Rolling Stone. We are grateful for one more song. After that, no amount of cheering will bring him back. 15 songs, 1 hour and 50 minutes. Pretty damn good for a 57 year old rocker with a heart condition. Bob must have been feeling really good because he never held back for a second. He danced all night long, was often smiling, and rocked the house. This was one of the greatest nights of my life. I can't wait to see him again. Hey Bob, come on back this way soon, ok?
