Review by Judy and Tom Lallier

Ah---After three glorious days in the beautiful city of Amsterdam one is ready for a final blowout - and Bob did deliver. The amps were turned up and he drew on each song like he was singing a final farewell to a good friend - and it was appreciated !! It was Easter - so Gotta Serve Somebody gave me a jolt -  Then followed up by a soulfull and heatfelt Don't Think Twice was perfectly positioned - then to test your senses Most Likely trailed along with an explosive Miliion Miles to further draw you in to the road ahead....Stuck Inside of Memphis was a powerful noted and sung message - Sugar Baby followed and again my husband and I LOVED it and took many of our neighbors a bit to catch - Tweedle Dee was better than it has been- Desolation Row brought us back to REMEMBER THIS DAY ...another Tough Mama ....hope everyone knows what a gift this number was to us..61... good as always ...Ain''t Talking... scared me ...Bob you truely rock my heart...Thunder on the Mountain was lively number - and I always love Like A Rolling Stone- ...my tokens had run out - I my husband loved the Heineken from the roving dude - I personally have to have the Bacardi and Cola Light - but still bowed at the encores Watchtower Spriti and Blowin' in the Wind... Bob our thanks to you for a great run - 5 shows in six nights - our hats off to you and your Band.

Review by Peter van Emden

It was a meeting and also a honour to this great and unique artist, the audience was carefully listening with a lot of respect to this Master. The Man who is able to change again and again,as a mysterious dynamic process, like live is itself. He ask from older fans to be flexible and to travel to new areas as the times are continiuously changing! And younger fans are impressed by his original sound and performance. Bob had built up so many credits during almost 50 years. He gave such a lot and the audience seems to come to express him their love and gratefulness for him, also in a modest way, but pure and real. And so it was a very nice meeting with nice music, I enjoyed it very much! Thank you so much Bob!

Review by Judith Lallier

After two shows in Paris, we were ready for higher watt amp show and Bob delivered. Being seated and among very reserved French persons for two nights brought out everyones wild side on stage and the fans let Bob know it was appreciated ! Opening with my favorite Leopard Pill Box Hat was perfection, and then backed up by second song When I Paint My Masterpiece which is just what it was. But the third spot - a wide open Watching The River Flow with Bob wielding his guitar like a young man again was a highlight.  Boots of Spanish Leather was a great version and my husband and I loved it - but to our humor escaped many of our neighbors !! Rolling and Tumbling' kept the group rocking on stage and the floor - Po'Boy shined so much better than in Paris - Honest With Me was strong and clear but then a true highlight - Working Mans Blues blew us out of the water - WOW - High Water was great, Love Sick and 61 were smooth and then Nettie Moore showed her face again after being absent for a few shows. Summer Days and Rolling Stone rounded out the set - with standard  encores Watchtower, Spirit and Blowin' in the Wind. It was a night I will never forget - So till tomorrow - Goodnight !!!

Review by Joop Bekkema
The absolute surprise of the evening was a sublime rendition of Ain't Talking. Totally unexpected for everyone. One of the songs that fits in every setlist. It replaced Nettie Moore, which I really pitied. I'd rather would have seen "Spirit" or "Deal" go down and Nettie Moore as well fixed in the setlists. The other surprise was a wonderfull High Water. Like in Münster one of the highlights. Furthermore Visions Of Johanna was very very nice, with a wonderfull staccato type of singing introduced by Dylan. As always looking for a change. The absolute winner for me tonight was a stunning, chilling, unbelievable version of To Ramona, with the best functional harmonica solo's I have ever heard from Dylan. His singing was beyond imagination. What a performance. The band? Defenitely better than last year and slowly improving. The sound is very good (like yesterday) but still no solo's like the guitarplayers in Dylan's Band used to demonstrate. A few names? Mick Taylor, Jerry Garcia, Robby Robertson, Tom Petty, G.E. Smith, J.J Jackson, Larry Campbell, Carlie Sexton and Freddy Koella. If you listen to them, you see, or better: hear, what I mean.

All in all, a decent show. With this band playing safe and sound, I was wondering wether it’s still worth the effort of attending a few shows in a row. Then again, it’s Bob of course. We go see him when (and while) we can. I’m short of memory anyhow, so we’ll see what happens tonight. Still hoping for Ain’t Talkin’, but by now any surprise is welcome. When Modern Times was released, I thougt it should be big fun hearing songs like Rollin’and Tumblin’ live. By now, they already sound like boring routine. So we consider Red Sky and Chimes ‘surprising’, while waiting for – maybe – the best that has yet to come. God knows, tonight?

Review by Bob Reddington
Then the stars appeared in the background shortly before “Shelter from the Storm,” arguably his best effort all night – he played and sung this rendition with such with crispness, clarity and raw emotion that it truly came alive. As for the rest of the numbers; the pace of “Highway 61” was blistering, he really seemed to enjoy playing “Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum,” and “Positively 4th Street” was a massive but welcomed departure from the days of my listening to that scratchy 33rpm original studio version that once remained etched into, but may be now released, from my subconscious during those late Sunday evenings in the comfort of suburbia New York. Both encore numbers were powerful, especially “Watchtower”, in which Bob’s band brought out its raw essence.

Review by Marco van Bergen
But the subtle guitar lick of Larry in the opening "Down Along The Cove" is still spinning in my ear. Eat you heart out White Stripes. Because I was at the front left of the stage and because of the lonely mike at center stage I've been hoping to see Bob there, but you guest it, Bob didn't leave his electric piano, so I went back, took a heineken (what else) and infiltrated the cowds in the middle to hear a great "Cry Awhile", with great slide. And then it took me indeed some minutes to realize that it was "It's allright Ma". Shit Bob why don't you stick to your album versions! But OK you're right I'm a piece of conservative shit. "Ouwe hippie", my kids tell me. You get the picture. Highway 61, well what can I say, it rocked like hell. Love Minus Zero, my all time favorite, chills. After the programmed break Like A Rolling Stone, by then I was already knocked out. Please come back next year..
